That last Thrillers poll was an absolute disaster caused by the problems of using IMDb ratings with such an long random-order list and the subjective nature of genre. So I have closed that poll and we will try again with a more thrillery list 🙂
You can select up to FOUR of your favourite Thrillers from Time Out’s Top 100 Thrillers.
The full list can be found at: https://www.timeout.com/london/film/best-thriller-movies

Much better list; difficult to pick just 4 out so I stayed with Vertigo, Third man and added L.A. Confidential and Manchurian candidate (which is arguably the film that fits the label thriller the least). But soooo many good ones; I really like all of them except Reservoir dogs as I don’t care much for Tarantino.

I opted for Mulholland Drive, Vertigo, Zodiac and The Silence of the Lambs – but I would have like to have had at least six votes in this poll!

At least ten you mean – if you’re referring to poems anyway. I am only interested in thrilling poems, chav!

Did you just vote for films based on pre-1600 poems?

Yes, on poems as represented through cave paintings. I find the written word quite plebeian.

I just realised I have seen all of these! It makes it easier to decide than it was in the other list 🙂

I like this list a lot more. There are still 7 films I haven’t seen yet, but from the ones I’ve seen my favourites are Se7en, The Silence of the Lambs, Reservoir Dogs and Zodiac. I also liked a lot The Fugitive, The Maltese Falcon, L.A. Confidential, North By Northwest and Vertigo.
